The Bloodkad app can be used to make appointments, check blood donation records and find out more on blood donations such as the status of blood stocks which are constantly updated. Bloodkad can also be used at blood donation centres at Government Hospitals and Jerudong Park Medical Centre, as well as during selected blood donation campaigns.
Awang Haji Matusof bin Haji Daud, Blood Bank Chief Supervisor at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital said this during the Blood Donation Campaign organised by Brunei Darussalam Food Authority, BDFA, which was supported by the Blood Donation Centre, Department of Laboratory Services, Ministry of Health. He added, the public can use the app if they wish to donate blood.
84 pints of blood were collected during the campaign in conjunction with BDFA's 5th Anniversary. Held at BDFA's Atrium, such a campaign can foster a culture of volunteerism, social responsibility and strengthen unity among the community.
